Diyanshu Dewangan

Born in the village of Hathband in the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, Diyanshu Dewangan is an Indian visual artist whose practice is deeply tied to rural life and human emotion. He completed both his Bachelor of Fine Arts (2022) and Master of Fine Arts (2024) at the Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, where he later served as a guest lecturer.

Growing up surrounded by rural communities, Dewangan captures the daily lives, traditions, and emotional expressions of villagers and farmers. Working across acrylics, oils, watercolors, and mixed media, he builds textured, mural-like compositions that emphasize line, deep color schemes, and play between light and shadow. His figurative and landscape works offer an intimate look into village culture, seeking to bridge personal observation with universal human experiences.

Dewangan has participated in numerous national exhibitions and workshops across India. His work has been featured in the 36th All India Lokmanya Tilak Art Exhibition in Pune, the 1st National Annual Art Exhibition in Nagpur, the "Rang Amir" National Art Exhibition in Indore, and group shows at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal, the Sonabai Rajwar Art Gallery, and the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum in Raipur. He lives and works in Chhattisgarh.
