Swati Tiwaari
Swati is a self-taught visual artist based in Bengaluru, India. Originally practicing as a legal expert for fifteen years, she transitioned into a dedicated full-time artistic career in 2019 to pursue her creative calling. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, her practice is deeply rooted in the philosophical exploration of Prakriti, the divine feminine faculty of the universe. Central to her work is the belief that this cosmic feminine energy serves as an open, loving stream of consciousness—a foundational force through which life, creation, and spiritual realization are expressed.
Swati’s visual language balances figurative elements with atmospheric abstraction, characterized by tender compositions, vibrant color handling, and sensitive themes. Her paintings act as reflective narratives of the mind, aiming to convey a sense of divinity, piousness, and varied moods of spiritual experience. Through layered hues and nuanced forms, her work invites viewers into a dialogue on consciousness, emotional depth, and the sacred sacredness of existence.
Her artistic trajectory includes significant public showcase, highlighted by her maiden solo exhibition, Anushtubhi, curated by Vasant Rao at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru. Her portfolio also encompasses two-person and group exhibitions across prominent venues, including the Raja Ravi Verma Art Gallery in Pune, as well as multiple collaborative projects organized with Car Street Studios, Sydney. An independent contemporary artist, Swati continues to develop her practice in Bengaluru.
